Capturing those special moments to tell a story to be remembered…

For me it is all about telling stories with my photography. After your ‘special day’ all you have left is the photos which revive your memories. In my opinion, every wedding day is unique and I appreciate how much effort you put in to bring your own personality and character to your wedding or elopement. That’s what I aim to capture, nothing staged, just you ‘being you’ on your very special day!

Creating the very best wedding images is all about feeling at ease with your photographer. So, it’s important to me to set up a pre wedding consultation and create a strong personal and relaxed relationship with my clients, to understand your style and requirements. You will find me chatting with your guests on your wedding day to get right in the middle of the action and to document your day the way your guests experiencing it. I also have a wide range of suppliers I can recommend and help you with your wedding planning if you need some advice. I’m best described as a mega relaxed photographer who will make you feel comfortable and probably make you laugh about all the nonsense I talk during the couple portrait session. I don’t want you to feel you are at a photoshoot and won’t take over your wedding day, I will just be there quietly observing the action. I thrive on capturing real-life, true emotions – no posing you in anyway if you don’t want to rather quietly observing and capturing natural moments as they happen, so when you look at your photos you can re-live your day as it really was in a selection of candid photos. If you’re after a more traditional approach I recommend to look somewhere else, as I’m not covering traditional style weddings, they just don’t fit my style! Sorry if I offend anyone, but it’s better if we are on the same wavelength regarding what you expect of your images. If you’re looking for candid wedding photos, then yes please, let’s have a chat!

Over the years I have travelled extensively and worked on numerous travel stories for national and international magazines. I love to uncover the heart of the places and people I visit with my images. As long as I can remember I have enjoyed being creative and have a constant desire to experiment with different methods and find interesting angles to create fresh images. This passion and my love for travel and street photography has influenced my wedding photography work which helps me to produce wedding photos that capture those special moments, emotions and personalities both of you and your guests to tell the story of your wedding day.

My intrinsic understanding of composition and light and keen eye for portraiture plus years of experience in editing ( I'm a perfectionist and also have a degree in design! ) will deliver the professional photographs you desire. I give every single image the attention it needs and edit it to my personal style, no badge editing. This is the reason why it takes a few weeks for you to receive the fully edited photos. I see it like working on a painting. Finish it, put it aside and look at it with fresh eyes after a couple of weeks to do some fine tuning….

a little bit more about me…

It was on a family holidays to Greece where I was first inspired to take photos by my stepfathers passion for photography and the captivating light there. It was him who showed me the basics and I soon filled endless photo albums. Whilst studying in Hamburg nearly 20 years ago and during my design career I continued to capture images with my camera. Travelling to Southeast Asia and Australia in 2002 a passion for travel and street photography was ignited by the colours of these diverse cultures and I was fortunate enough to work on stories for national and international magazines. Today I live in Cornwall where I'm inspired by the scenery and outdoor lifestyle. The first question I usually get asked is : ‘Oh you look like you surf!’ Yes, I do surf, mountain bike and go for endless walks with my sighthounds Natxo and Coco, I just love the outdoors!
